The Oxford Conserve

....an elegant structure of a high design quality that would be complementary to the character and appearance of the existing building and conservation area..... - Conservation Officer

The proposal seeks a contemporary and sensitive response in order to provide additional amenity to our client and improve the relationship between the house and garden. For that we looked back at history and nature/landscape as well as the original purpose of a conservatory. A conservatory is a place to conserve. Originally meant for plants; the Victorians soon realised they are nice spaces to ‘hang out’ in with their friends , amongst the plants , for tea.
